Also in action was former Newcastle Jets keeper Ante Covic, keeping a clean sheet in Elfsborg-s 0-0 draw away at Hungary-s Haladas FC. Elfsborg advanced to the 3rd Qualifying Round after a 3-0 win in the first leg.

Scott Chipperfield did not play in FC Basel-s 4-1 win at Andorra-s FC Santa Coloma; Basel winning 7-1 on aggregate.
