After making 37 appearances and scoring 12 goals for Australia, Harry Kewell is celebrating turning 30 today.

But birthday celebrations in Istanbul aside, Kewell is really excited about Australia-s upcoming 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifying - Round 4 match against Qatar in Brisbane on 15 October.

Kewell explains that Australia has never been in World Cup qualifying stages like this previously, which makes the matches even more exciting for players and fans.

“You are going to get every single player back at every single game possible, playing for this build up to the 2010 World Cup in South Africa,” said Kewell.

Australia needs to finish in the top two of its group to qualify for the 2010 FIFA World Cup at the completion of this round in June 2009.

Kewell is currently enjoying a rich vein of form for his new Turkish club Galatasaray. He has scored four goals in all competitions for the powerhouse club, including a goal in the UEFA Cup during the week and another goal on the weekend in the 4-1 demolition of Kocaelispor.

In June, Kewell was also among the goalscorers in the 3-1 win against Qatar, which sealed Australia's qualification to Stage 4 of the 2010 World Cup qualifying process.
