The Sydney public has the chance to show their support for the Socceroos prior the match next Wednesday night, by signing a giant Socceroos jersey.

Measuring 17 x 24 metres (larger than the size of a full tennis court), the jersey has toured Victoria, WA, SA and Queensland before landing in Sydney to collect signatures of support for the Socceroos.

The jersey will be available for public signings at Rebel Sport, Pitt St Mall until Tuesday 15 November.

The jersey will then be taken to the ground for the second leg of the play-off against Uruguay on Wednesday night and unfurled among the crowd, prior to the game kicking off.

With already more than 10,000 signatures to date Nike-s aim is to fill the jersey with signatures from the general public, football fans, sporting heroes and Australian celebrities.

On Saturday 12 November between 12.00 - 1.00 pm there will be a series of athletes appearing at Rebel Sport, Pitt St Mall to sign the giant Socceroos Jersey.

Joshua Ross, Hazem El Masri, Braith Anasta, Laurie Daley, Cheryl Salisbury (Matildas Captain) and three Sydney FC players will all be in attendance to show their support for the Socceroos in the lead up to the qualifying matches.

This is terrific way to show your support for the players as they aim to be the first Australian team to play at the FIFA World Cup finals in 32 years.
