Dural Sports Centre was the venue for the very first Community level Futsal Presenters Workshop held on the 26th and 27th of August.

Over 20 people attended the workshop designed to help the candidates attain an accreditation to present the newly designed courses which have been constructed in conjunction with some of the county-s most experienced Futsal people and using some of the practices that are used throughout Europe and South America.

The aim of community level coaching is to provide the coaches with an understanding of how to organize meaningful and safe coaching sessions for the young players. It has been well documented throughout the world in most sports that the modern player responds best to coaching sessions that are game centred where they can learn by doing rather than standing around and listening to coaches talk, in short we are trying to encourage our coaches to “waste no valuable training time”.

Each Member Federation was asked to send at least one person who can in turn will present the workshop in their own State for others who are identified as potential presenters, Football Federation Victoria and Football Queensland even saw fit to send two such persons. As the course was held in Sydney Football NSW had 14 people attend including Futsal NSW State coach Jamie Amendolia.

Whilst the certificate level course is ready to be rolled out we are refining some of the License course practices which will be ready next week for rollout, contact your member Federation for information on the courses.
