Ellie Carpenter gearing up for her second Champions League final

Lyon booked a ticket to a record-breaking 10th UEFA Women's Champions League Final, where they will face reigning UWCL champions FC Barcelona tomorrow morning.

For Ellie Carpenter, it is the second time the Aussie could lift the UWCL title after claiming it with Olympique Lyonnais back in the 2019-20 season.

Fans can watch the game live and free on the DAZN YouTube page, kicking off at 3:00 am AEST.

Lyon will be looking to lift the illustrious title for the eighth time and will be up against Spanish side FC Barcelona. The two sides have met previously in a UWCL Final, where Lyon beat Barcelona 4-1 with a hat-trick to Ada Hegerberg sealing the title.

Carpenter was an unused substitute back in Lyon's last UWCL Final, since then the Australian has appeared in 9 out of 10 of Lyon's UWCL games in the 2021–22 season.

Both sides have had a dominant UWCL run to the final, with Lyon only facing two defeats, while FC Barcelona's one defeat in their UWCL run came in their last game to Wolfsburg, where they went down 2-0.

When she walks onto Juventus Stadium, Ellie Carpenter will join the lineage of Aussie women to play in a European final that includes Sam Kerr, Alison Forman, and Sharon Black.

"Barcelona is a world-class team, they won last year and obviously, we won the year before that, so it's going to be a good battle," Carpenter said.

"You've got, in my opinion, the best two teams in Europe going up against each other and both teams are equally passionate about winning, so it will be about who wants it more on the day and who turns up."
