Netherlands Head Coach, Bert van Marwijk, has selected a strong 23-man squad for the friendly international against the Qantas Socceroos in Sydney on 10 October.

Although both Australia and the Netherlands have qualified for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, this game is clearly being seen as more than a friendly excursion down under.

Dutch stars such as Giovanni van Bronckhorst (Feyenoord), Robin van Persie (Arsenal), Tim Cahill's and Lucas Neill's Everton team mate John Heitinga, and Klaas Jan Huntelaar (AC Milan) are all part of the team that will play the Qantas Socceroos at Sydney Football Stadium on 10 October.

Qantas Socceroos Head Coach, Pim Verbeek, will name his squad on 1 October. As the Qantas Socceroos have both the international friendly match on the 10th followed by a 'do or die' AFC Asian Cup qualifier against Oman on 14 October in Melbourne, Verbeek is anticipated to name the strongest Australian squad possible with Mark Schwarzer, Tim Cahill, Vincenzo Grella and others already pencilled-in.

Tickets are still available for both matches.
