Socceroos WATCH

Harry Kewell was replaced after 65 minutes, as Liverpool lost 2-1 away at Crystal Palace. Tony Popovic, despite being in full training with Palace after recovering from injury, yet again missed a place in the squad. Kewell had several near misses in front of goal, with Speroni making three good saves to deny him.

Ahmad Elrich was replaced after 57 minutes, as Fulham lost 3-2 at home against West Brom.

Josip Skoko made his first start for Wigan Athletic and played a full game (120 minutes), in a 3-0 win over Watford.

Lucas Neill and Brett Emerton both played full games and both scored in Blackburn Rovers 3-0 win over Leeds United. Emo opened the scoring in the 60th minute, while Neill wrapped up the win with a late goal.

There will possibly be several more Socceroos in action tonight.

Tim Cahill (ankle) has been named in the squad, but is a doubtful starter in the Everton squad to face Middlesbrough at Goodison Park. Boro is likely to feature both its Socceroos Mark Schwarzer and Mark Viduka.

Stan Lazaridis will be missing from Birmingham City-s clash against Norwich with a hamstring injury, which is not as bad as first thought and should see him miss just one week. It was originally feared that he would out for about three weeks.

Luke Wilkshire should feature for Bristol City in a make up League One fixture away at Chesterfield.

Meanwhile there is a full round of matches in Italy, with Mark Bresciano and Vince Grella likely to see action for Parma against Messina, while Zeljko Kalac-s AC Milan are away at Empoli.
