Shervin Keshvaraz led the way hitting the back of the net five times after opening the scoring in just the third minute.

Danny Ngaluafe weighed in with a hat-trick, there were doubles for Jarrod Basger and Greg Giovenali, while Chris Zeballos, Andres Gomez and George Cattanach were also on the scoresheet.

Australia now face Malaysia today before completing their group schedule against Vietnam on Thursday. The two top teams in the group will compete in the semi-finals against the first and second place teams in Group A, which features hosts Thailand, Indonesia, Myanmar and the Philippines.

The two finalists and the winner of the third-place playoff will advance to the 2012 AFC Futsal Championship finals which will be held in United Arab Emirates in May.

The top four finishers at the AFC Futsal Championship will qualify for the FIFA Futsal World Cup Thailand 2012.
