Crucial league assignments in Europe

On the continent, Lisa De Vanna and her Fiorentina side are on the road as they head to the Italian capital to tackle Roma in Serie A on Sunday at 10:30pm AEDT.

Fiorentina have been in red-hot form in recent weeks – notching a stunning 22 goals in five straight wins across all competitions.

De Vanna has been a big part of that run scoring in her past two matches to lift her season’s tally four league goals for Antonio Cincotta’s side.

Over in Spain, it is a top of the table clash for Alex Chidiac and her Atletico Madrid side when they tackle Primera Division leaders Barcelona on Saturday at 10:00pm AEDT.

The clash will go a long way to determining the title race outcome with the two sides proving the powerhouses of this year’s competition so far.

For Atletico, the match offers a chance of revenge after Barcelona prevailed 6-1 when the sides last met in September.
