Aussies abroad: Kerr, Kennedy, Raso score in USA

Westfield Matildas stars were again making headlines in the USA this weekend with their goal-scoring feats across the NWSL.

Defender Alanna Kennedy curled an absolutely beautiful stoppage time winner in the National Women's Soccer League to give her Orlando Pride a 3-2 win away at top-of-the-table North Carolina Courage.

The victory for Kennedy's side means she'll now face Westfield Matildas team-mate Hayley Raso in the NWSL semi-finals this weekend.

Raso was also on target. She scored an early goal as her Portland Thorns wrapped their regular season with a 3-1 win over Chicago Red Stars on Saturday.

And Sam Kerr made history when she hit the net in a crazy game.

It was her 17th goal of the season to break the single-season goal-scoring record in the NWSL.

Kerr brilliantly flicked home from close range to help Sky Blue FC win an epic comeback 4-3 over Boston Breakers.

All three stars are expected to be in action this November when the Westfield Matildas meet China PR in Victoria in two friendlies.
