Reading goalkeeper Adam Federici has picked up the Player of the Month award in the nPower Football League Championship.

Reading breezed through February with four victories over Coventry City, Derby County, Burnley and Middlesbrough.

The Royals did it without conceding a single goal in the run that boosted their promotion bid to the English Premier League.

The 27-year-old has been in outstanding form and Reading manager Brian McDermott has paid tribute to the reserve Qantas Socceroos goalkeeper.

"He is a top goalkeeper and person," McDermott said, as reported on the clubs official website. "Everything he does is geared towards making him as good as he possibly can be on a Saturday afternoon.
