It was a busy week for many of our overseas stars, with a lot of interest in the Everton/Liverpool for the 4th spot in the EPL, while Parma's fight for relegation hit a setback with a big thumping from AC Milan. Click here to see how all the players fared over the past week.

ACTION IN THE UK...   ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE Date: 23-04-05 *         Qantas Socceroo Tony Popovic (pictured right) played a full game (his first start of the 2005), as Crystal Palace won 1-0 at home against Liverpool. Qantas Socceroo Harry Kewell was not in the Liverpool squad. With games three games remaining, Palace is in 17th, and out of the relegation zone, albeit on goal difference only. Liverpool is in 5th and now four points adrift of Everton in the race for the last European Champions League place. *         Qantas Socceroo Tim Cahill played a full game, as Everton drew 1-1 at home with Birmingham City. For Birmingham, Qantas Socceroo Stan Lazaridis played a full game. Everton (four games remaining) is in 4th and four points clear of Liverpool and Bolton. With two games remaining, Peterborough, despite the win, remains in 22nd position and will be relegated to the League Two competition. *         Chris Coyne played a full game and scored in the 59th minute, as Luton won 2-1 away at Wrexham and be crowned League One Champions. *         Gareth Edds & Qantas Young Socceroo Trent McClenahan were both replaced in the 86th minute, with McClenahan also receiving a yellow card, while Nick Rizzo remained on the bench, as Milton Keynes Dons lost 2-1 at home against Bristol City. For Bristol, Qantas Socceroo Luke Wilkshire was replaced in the 72nd minute. The Dons have slipped a place and into the relegation zone, and are three points behind the safety zone. For Wycombe, Frank Talia (gk) played a full game, while Adrian Caceres was not in the squad. Yeovil is in 1st place with two games remaining, but only on goal difference, and needs just one more win to virtually guarantee promotion to League One next season. Wycombe is in 9th place, six points adrift of the last play-off spot. *         Adrian Webster came on in the 36th minute, as Darlington won 2-0 at home against Rushden & Diamonds. Darlington is in 7th place and holding onto the last play-off spot, two points ahead of 8th place Northampton. *         Predrag Bojic was not in the Northampton squad that won 1-0 at home against Lincoln City. Northampton is in 8th place, two points adrift of Darlington, who hold down the last promotion play-off spot. . *         Ruben Zadkovich (Qantas Young Socceroos) was not in the Notts County squad that drew 1-1 away at Shrewsbury. Notts is in 19th place and guaranteed safety from relegation.

SCOTTISH PREMIER LEAGUE Date: 23-04-05 *         Scott McDonald (hamstring) was not in the Motherwell squad that lost 1-0 at home against Aberdeen. Motherwell remains in 6th place, *         Danny Invincibile came on in the 22nd minute, as Kilmarnock won 1-0 at home against Dundee. Falkirk remains in 1st spot having already secured promotion to the Scottish Premier League next season and winning the Championship. *         Qantas Socceroo Adrian Madaschi remained on the bench, as Partick Thistle won 1-0 at home against Clyde. Partick remains in 9th place with two games to go and is almost certain to be relegated. *         Stuart Lovell played a full game, as Queen of South drew 1-1 away at Ross County. QoS is in 7th place, but can finish as high 4th.

  SCOTTISH DIVISION TWO Date: 23-04-05 *         John Maisano was replaced in the 55th minute, as Morton drew 0-0 at home with Dumbarton. Morton is in 3rd place, but still four points adrift of Stranraer, who hold down the second promotion spot with two games to go.
